Rinse with peroxide – make sure you don’t swallow!! — and then brush with baking soda. The peroxide works with the baking soda, creating a kind of foaming action which bleaches out and removes surface stain. I’ve done this for years – the dentist always compliments me on how healthy my gums are, too.

You will see a difference within about a week.

  1. Baking soda mixed with natural lemon juice and then placed on your toothbrush does work but it is horrible! If you do do it also only use it once a month as it can ruin all the enamel on your teeth.
Also buying a toothpaste like Aquafresh Extreme clean whitening is also good and you do start to notice the difference.
You can obviously also buy kits, but personally I would recommend saving money and using some cheaper home remedies or cheap toothpastes! Good luck!

  2. Cookie Monster

You can use an at home whitening kit.
    YES, They really do work!
I used a CREST one before I got married. Went through the whole box and my teeth were very white!
Don’t bother with toothpastes that claim they whiten but they only break up surface stains. Get a whitening kit it will look more like it was done professionally. I used Crest Whitening Strips. Using a kit like this can leave your teeth sensative so be sure to brush with an ADA accepted toothpaste that fights sensativity. Like Crest Complete.

Here is more information on whitening from the experts at the American Dental Association.
